Hi Chuck. I read the article in the Sentinel this weekend. I am also an Orlando resident and climbing Rainier the same week you will be there with two co-workers who are from Charlotte, NC. We anticipate summiting July 24 (weather permitting) and are climbing with RMI. Best wishes and maybe we'll see you on the mountain!

Having spent a good deal of my youth backpacking and climbing the high peaks of the Adirondacks, I envy your trip. On the otherhand, Ranier is three times higher than anything I ever did.
